science of picking out sunglasses two ways: face shape and hair color. Read on
to find out your perfect pair.
FACE SHAPE:

A triangle-shaped face like Kathy Ireland's features a
narrow forehead that gets wider at the cheeks and chin. Try aviator frames
to create balance.

A round face like Charlize Theron's has the same
measurements in both the width and the length. A round face looks great in
angular, narrow frames like rectangles
or geometric shapes because these styles break up the monotony.

An oval- or egg-shaped face like Gwen Stefani's is
perfectly symmetrical. It looks great in almost any style, but wraparounds
often look most modern. They scream "timeless sporty cool."

A diamond-shaped face like Jennifer Aniston's has high
cheekbones and is narrow at the eye line and jawline. A diamond looks fab in square
or rimless
frames because the frames balance out the widest and narrowest parts of the
face.

An oblong face like Sarah Jessica Parker's is longer than
it is wide, and looks best in frames that are deep from top to bottom or have decorative
temple details. Temple details draw the eye to the middle of the head where
the ears are and break up the length of the face.

A square face like Cameron Diaz's has a broad forehead and
a very strong jawline. Squares look wonderful in narrow frames like ovals, rounds,
or sexy cat-eye
styles.

A heart-shaped face like Reese Witherspoon's has a wide
top and tapers down to a narrow chin. Hearts look fab in frames that are
narrower on top and wider toward the bottom. Light or rimless
shades flatter too.
HAIR
COLOR:
Mid-tone brunettes look great in tortoiseshell
frames since all these colors are in their hair already. However, there's
nothing more striking than white glasses on mid-tone brunettes.
Chestnut brown brunettes look great in caramel
frames.
Ashy blonds look great in frames that blend
with cold tones like silver, blue,
or gray.
To go against type, you can try frames in red, yellow, or orange.
White blonds look great in red
frames, but other safe choices are black or white
as they are essentially colorless.
Golden blonds look great in white-gold
color frames. Blue or silver is also a great contrast because cold colors
contrast with the warm gold.
Strawberry blonds and Redheads
look great in green
shades. It's the opposite side of the color spectrum, and it's a really intense
look. For a less bold look, gold or brown works too.
Auburns look great in woodsy colors like maroon, burgundy,
and chocolate.
They should avoid pure red.
